Here you’ll find answers to frequently asked questions

Give us a call or send us an email, we’d love to hear from you! You can comfortably talk through your needs with one of our professional office staff members who will be able to visit you to arrange an assessment to look further into the ways in which we can look after you.

We then work closely with you, other medical professionals and your family to build the right care package for you.

We will put together a detailed plan for each client, which as well as showing the care to be delivered also shows the weekly costs. Some people are entitled to help with their care costs from social services. We are happy to assist you with this process.

There are no hidden fees associated with assessments or phone calls.

Please see our charges page for more information.

Our services can start very quickly once the initial assessment has been completed.

We will complete the care plan with you and ask you or a family member to sign a client agreement.

Once this is done, we can allocate suitable staff and begin our visits with a 24-48 hour period

The care plan will detail your exact instructions – whether that is assisting you into the shower, helping with a wet shave, or even coordinating an outfit and jewellery.

We can assist with medication and can sometimes collect prescriptions.

We can help you to mobilise from your bedroom to your living room and ensure that you have everything you need to be comfortable for the day.

Care plans frequently evolve, and we keep things under constant review to make sure they are still relevant to your needs.

Yes! Wisteria Care has a close relationship with the locality teams to provide a high quality service and promote continuity of care for our clients.

If you feel that you no longer need support from Wisteria Care you can send us conformation of termination of your package in writing, with a two week notice period. Once you have done this, two weeks from the dated termination your support from us will cease.

Certainly!  We promote inclusion and independence and would be delighted to support you accessing the community, whether that takes the form of joining a social group or meeting up with friends.

Wisteria Care promotes continuity of care; therefore, we aim for each client to see up to four care workers. We allow for four care workers to cover staff holidays and sickness. We currently do not offer set times unless your care visit is medication specific. However, we are more than happy to offer time frames in which a care worker will visit you. We try our best to work to clients’ preferences on the timings of visits, wherever possible.

Your security is crucial to us. Our recruitment process is very thorough and the qualifications and employment history are always verified and references taken up.

All staff attend a full induction course before they are allowed to visit you in your home.

We heavily promote personal and career development for our staff. 95% of our care workers achieve their NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care within their first year with us.

All staff are enhanced DBS checked which is a legal requirement when entering the care sector. They will be in uniform when they visit your home and will have their identification clearly on display.

We will use key safes with your permission, when you are unable to open the door.

The staff I have are amazing. They are all polite and try to deal with me being non verbal.

Home care

Live in care

We provide a range of home care services, aimed at empowering people to stay in their own home for as long as possible.

At Wisteria Care, we understand that arranging care can be a stressful business and that needs may change over time, especially during recovery from an injury or when dealing with a progressive or long-term medical condition.

We use our many years of experience in health and social care to make the entire process run as as smoothly as possible.
