Heart and soul

In addition to our excellent care workers who are the heart and soul of the business, our dedicated management team help to ensure the smooth running of Wisteria Care and are committed to our ethos of care before profit.

Siobhan Wortley

Founder

Wisteria Care is a partnership between Siobhan Wortley and her husband Stephen. Siobhan worked for more than 20 years within the NHS as a staff nurse in elderly psychiatric care and had also worked in Care Homes and has an MA in Management. She purchased a small care home near Yeovil in 2004 and in 2009 started providing Domiciliary Care in South Somerset, which branched out to Dorset.  She’s incredibly proud of how Wisteria Care has evolved over the years and how the team deliver on her vision of care over profit.

Janet Chalk

Area Manager

Janet started her career in health and social Care twenty-two years ago as a care assistant, working evenings and weekends. She never envisioned care becoming a career. However, she quickly realised that helping to keep older people in their own homes for as long as possible was what she wanted to do.

Janet progressed from a care worker to a field care supervisor undertaking her NVQ Levels 2,3, and 5, and then quickly became the registered manager for another domiciliary care agency. Moving to Wisteria Care in 2020, Janet has quickly found her feet as an area manager and ensures that all staff members promote our values of providing a high standard of quality care.

Kim Palmer

Business Development Manager

Kim began her career in care in whilst raising her young family. For several years, she worked as a care coordinator for another provider, gaining her NVQ Level 5 qualification. Kim joined Wisteria Care in 2016 and has now stepped into the role of Business Development Manager working with commissioning services, local councils, and new clients to ensure that we are helping as many individuals as possible to stay at home.

Michelle Carey

Registered Manager Yeovil Branch and Wisteria House

Covering Yeovil, Sherborne and surrounding areas.

Michelle began her career in health and social care as a care worker 33 years ago and progressed her way up to registered manager. On starting with Wisteria Care, Michelle quickly built relationships with her staff members to become the well-respected manager she is today. Michelle works closely with other health professionals to develop the high-quality service that our care team members deliver, ensuring we are providing a safe and well led service in Somerset and Dorset.

Jessica Kinsman

Registered Manager Gillingham Branch

Covering Gillingham, Shaftesbury, Blandford, Sturminster Newton, Wimborne, Wincanton and surrounding areas.

Jessica began as a care worker in a local residential home in 2014 and after four years decided to join the domiciliary area of health and social care. After working in various roles within the domiciliary sector, Jessica joined Wisteria Care in 2020 and has recently become the registered manager of our Gillingham branch. She is currently undertaking her NVQ Level 5.

Fay Starr

Quality Manager

Fay is our Quality Manager, supporting our staff members in their roles while ensuring our standards remain consistently high.

Fay has worked in various roles within the health and social care sector, joining Wisteria Care in 2021. She has spearheaded our move to electronic care planning in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.

Tracey Collins

Deputy Manager Yeovil Branch

Tracey started working in Health and Social care in 2013 , and it was something she really enjoyed. Tracey began working with Wisteria Care 2019 as one of our specialist care workers. She then progressed over the years and is now the Deputy Manager at our Yeovil Branch, who  supports the manager of Wisteria House.  Through Tracey’s progression she has completed different types of office duties, she works in partnership with outside agencies including physiotherapists, and District nurses striving to ensure that all of our clients receive the highest standard of care possible.
